CHILDREN HOME: SOHAM VISHVAS GHAR

SOHAM began its journey with the establishment of a home for neglected children called SOHAM VISHVAS GHAR. Fourteen children who had no families or whose families had neglected them were accommodated in a familiar atmosphere in Ghatti Village of Solan District, Himachal Pradesh. The children were accompanied by a couple who provided care, love, and the warmth of a family under the overall supervision of SOHAM's founder (a trained and professionally qualified social worker). SOHAM helped them cope with the traumatic experiences of their lives and supported the development of their inner selves through the practice of meditation.

A basic package of education, health, recreation, counseling, and vocational training was provided to all the children. Boarding and lodging facilities were provided with the aim of grooming them with healthy physical and spiritual food. There were two meditation sessions specially organized for all the home&#39 residents, both at 6:30 am in the morning and 7:30 pm in the evening. Over time, the children became disciplined and punctual in their daily routines.
They learned to sing bhajans and participate in meditation sessions, which helped them excel in school activities like bhajans, sports, and other extracurricular activities. Children, all of them are now settled in their respective professional fields and earning well.

Some of them have married and now leading a happy homely life as a peaceful individual.
