On Thursday, April 23, 2025, SOHAMINDIA extended its mission of mindful well-being into the world of academia, partnering with the University School of Education (USE), Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi, for a transformative lecture on Mental Well-Being and Mindful Development.
Held under the leadership of Prof. Dhananjay Joshi, Dean, USE, the session drew enthusiastic participation from PhD scholars, MAEd, BAEd, and Integrated BA.B.Ed students, alongside department faculty — a reminder that mindfulness isn’t reserved for crisis moments, but is a skill worth building early, in the very institutions shaping India’s future educators.
The lecture was anchored by Dr. Daman Ahuja, Rather than treating well-being as an abstract concept, Dr. Ahuja wove together field insights on emotional balance, self-awareness, and conscious living, grounding the discussion in the everyday realities students and educators actually face.
At the heart of the session was his guiding philosophy — “Development with Mindfulness” — a call to see well-being not as a private, individual pursuit, but as something collective, value-driven, and community-rooted. Through short reflective activities and open discussions, participants were invited to move beyond textbook theory and sit with their own lived experiences, connecting personal awareness to a larger sense of shared purpose.
The lecture was met with warm appreciation from attendees, who found it insightful, practical, and quietly thought-provoking.
