University Programs

When students graduate from universities, they are enthusiastic to contribute to society. As they move on societal and familial pressures divert them. It changes their path from serving, to enter into a rat race of materialistic goals. This goal not only compromises their inner peace but also leads to unfortunate consequences. The quest for material wealth often comes at the cost of inner tranquility. While achieving financial success, owning material possessions, and attaining societal status are commendable, but they can also create a sense of inner emptiness. The feelings of love, peace, and belongingness can get lost in the pursuit of external validation, leading individuals to experience loneliness and disconnect.

Mindfulness for MBA Graduates: Building balanced Leadership

As a graduate with an MBA, you’ll find yourself working with a wide range of clients and handling situations that are quite demanding.

Your meetings might often feel tense, a bit nerve-wracking, and stressful. Along your professional path, you’ll see both wins and tough challenges.

Keeping a good balance between work and personal life becomes really important because you’ll need quality time with the people you care about while also meeting tough work goals under constant pressure.

Facilitator Dr. Daman Ahuja with the group of MBA Students in PIET, Panipat, Haryana

This is why mindfulness is so important.
During a recent session held with postgraduate students at Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology ( PIET) , we, through mindful sharing, explored topics like hardwork, solving problems, being compassionate, entrepreneurship, handling workplace disagreements in a positive way, gender equality, courage, leadership, communication,  empathy for animals, and core values.

The picture attached shows our group looking happy after more than three hours of meaningful conversation—it’s an innovative idea that’s starting to take root at PIET in Haryana.

How could you possibly manage all that effectively without being mindful?

A truly successful person isn’t just someone who hits all their targets; it’s someone who also keeps their inner peace and balance. People like that can still communicate well with their bosses even when they haven’t met their goals, showing they’re emotionally mature and can lead in a balanced way. In the long run, companies need well-rounded people, not just those who focus only on targets.

SOHAMINDIA at Kurukshetra University, Haryana: Integrating mindfulness into management education

On invitation from the Institute of Management Studies, Kurukshetra University, a dynamic session was conducted for 75 management students and their teachers. The innovative Mindful Development Exercise broke the monotony of traditional lectures, sparking curiosity among participants. Students were encouraged to identify and elaborate on a positive quality of their role models, creating an inspiring atmosphere as these attributes were recorded on a chart.
The session then delved into group discussions on social, psychological, and physical changes during adolescence. This led to a thought provoking exercise where students confronted the
realization that their role models likely faced similar challenges yet succeeded. This revelation highlighted the crucial skills of emotional management and goal focus.

The comprehensive approach of Mindful Development demonstrated its effectiveness in fostering self-awareness, critical thinking, and empathy. By connecting personal aspirations with real-world challenges, students gained valuable insights into leadership and personal growth. This session exemplified how integrating mindfulness into management education can enhance emotional intelligence and problem-solving skills, preparing future leaders to navigate complex personal and professional landscapes with resilience and clarity.
